Buginese men pull a wooden block at Tanjung Bira Beach on May 2, 2014 in Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Phinisi, a masterpiece of traditional Bugis-Makassar design, is a traditional wooden two-masted sailing ship, well-known as traditional sea transportation amongst the buginese people for many centuries. According to the ancient I La Galigo manuscript, phinisi has already existed since around the 14th century. The scooners are largely built using the design and construction techniques handed down from generation to generation over hundreds of years. (Photo by Agung Parameswara/Getty Images) ( 487802647 )
